Before I Let Go

by samantha   Jul 14, 2006

To be without you for an hour or two
Night become day
Is the hardest thing I've ever had to do
A moment without you is a minute wasted
Less time to explore your beautiful face and...
Touch your lips
Which are my most prized possessions
When your not around I'm a ball of tension
No reason to feel safe and/or let my guard down
Your all the reason to smile
Never a time to let my mouth reverse and end up in a frown
So before I let you go
To lay down to sleep
I recite my three words
Instead of telling God he has my soul to keep
I Love You I say
Hoping to leave your face with a smile
I Love You I say
Hopefully leaving you feeling as though your floating on clouds
Its time for us to go
To finally be apart
But before this happens I want you to know you have my heart
Next laying our eyes to rest
And dreaming only the sweetest dreams
Awaiting the next time I hear your voice
Almost impatiently it seems
Waiting for the next time I can see your face
Before I let go
I decided to let you know your place.
