I rest my head and go to sleep
and pray for the man that i plan to keep that he'll be safe through out the night and wake up with the sunshines light. i pray for his days to go by fine and i thank you my lord for making him mine. i pray that he says out of drugs cuz if not his job would be scrubbing rugs i pray that he does good in school cuz if not he'll end up like a fool.
i pray for his smile that never fades i pray for the love that we have made. i pray for his body that is so fine, i pray that he is not a waste of time. i pray that he is not like the rest i pray that he is the best of the best. i pray that he will treat me right and show me love with all his might. i rest my head and go to sleep and pray that he will love me deep.
