A Lesson of Love

by Martin   Jul 16, 2006

You inspire me with your seductive prowess and splendor
it is thine own interest i loathe and goes asunder
a lover with a bundle of roses to spread out upon your feet
as i feel the beat of my heart take a leap
can i whisper a euphony so soft and crisp
so beloved in triumphant and prosperous
whom am i to honor or merit, surely not i to content
this i doth not partake but for thy mistress relent
to what goal is achieved lest it be molded by thine own knit
oh wonderful creation that has clairvoyance
thou lecture me one whose knowledge exceeds
embrace me as your slave one not to be freed
eloquent and genteel at no surprise
have begotten thee to an excel surmise
