My One And Only

by *~Nicole~*   Jul 18, 2006

Your pleasure is my pain,
And it seems my pain is your pleasure

My heart is torn beyond belief
My soul burns without measure

Your heart I could not hold,
Or maybe I still do,
But one things for certain.
I'm no longer holding you.

From me, she stole you away,
Or maybe you did just long to be free.
But one things for certain.
You no longer long for me.

Your love is a distant memory
That I yearn for so bad.
I'll never get over you walking away
And I'll never feel anything but sad.

These days pass quickly
Much to my surprise,
But even that doesn't help
Me leave your memory behind

You're with me everyday,
You're in everything I do,
Every breath I take,
All I think about is you

In my memory you've built a home,
And there you dwell.
At night I cry so much for you,
That my eyes begin to swell.

No matter how much I cry,
The hurt will not escape me.
Another battle lost,
To the gutty-wrenching pain, I concede.

Another night, your memory has won,
And so I suffer through the darkness,
Only to face another dawn.

I dread the rest of my life without you,
Knowing this nightmare has just begun.
Simply existing, without my one and only,
The only one I love...
