A Fragile Dream

by Avrii Monrielle   Jul 18, 2006

A Fragile Dream

A fragile dream, waiting deep inside my pillow
I anticipate the moment it comes true
Fractions, percents, slope, equations
Giving me a homework-made sickness

Sliding under the covers, I fall asleep
Homework unfinished, praying for a dream
When I wake up in my other world
A story of gasoline and butterfly colonies

Blue butterflies streaming towards the horizon
I walk on the mountains near the street
Hiking higher than the clouds
A beautiful, fragile dream

There I see the cars down low
Smell rusty gasoline
Nothing at all like
The fake magazines

It's beautiful
It's nature living with humanity

Sorry it's taken me so long to send you a comment chickadee, but i hope to make it worth your while, this poem = fantabloish!

the line about the homework unfinished, haha its so me, I can totally relate to it. your imagery and connection to your work is evident in the word choice, for such a young writter, you show more passion then most oldder poets.

And I also want to congraulate you on making 300 poems, thats quite a massive portflio you have going on here girly. Keep up your passion,

Now on a personal note...HELLO! lol how are you?

    Lol Poetry wise 5/5=]
