Try To Fly, But As I'm Tied

by AmazinglyEmpty   Jul 20, 2006

Taking flight and flying free,
Just how I always wanted to be,
But tied as I cannot because I'm tied down,
I look at my leg and see I'm tied to the ground,
So I try to shake it off my leg,
But the rope is tight and short and connected to a peg,
So I sit down to think awhile,
And here my thoughts shall pile,
I look back at the rope,
With new acquired hope,
And start to bite,
I gnaw and nibble with all my might,
But as it seems it wont let go,
Even after I bit my toe,
So I keep on thinking for an answer,
And then it comes to me like a murmur,
So I look down and see a knot,
It's exactly what I hadn't thought.
