Please, forgive me

Sigh, thoughts, and horrible fears,
And everything else that causes these tears.
I wish that you knew how I felt,
After everything we've done.. after what I've dealt.

Wanting to make things better, for you and for me,
Taking things to a max, more than the set degree.
I hate being myself, and I hate what I do,
It's the bad things I have done.. that you see straight through.

If I could have one wish, for anything at all,
It would be to be with you forever, to give you my heart, until death comes one fall.

I never meant to hurt you, or put you through hell,
I remain alone, locked up in a cell.
I want things to be great between us,
Never a mess, and never a fuss.

I just want to be happy, and happy with you,
For the rest of my life.. it's what I'll do.
For you to be happy, I'll give my life,
At least it's better than ending it with a knife.

I'll stick by you, and not only be your partner, but your best friend,
I'll stick by you, to the very end.
I want to be better for you, and for you to just love me,
Maybe some day again, it'll be alright for me
