Deception

by Jasmyn   Jul 23, 2006

The things you would tell me
i simply believed
without even thinking
i was being deceived
i had no clue
that you would leave
and so silently
my heart does grieve
for what i lost
i never truly had
and even knowing that
inside I'm still sad
you told me you loved me
and you really did care
and so i let you in on my secrets
i didn't want to share
what was clearly wrong
i thought was right
so in the end what I'm missing
wasn't worth the fight
but inside theres a loss
i don't want to feel
for i was in love
and thought it was real
you fed me your lies
and said your good-byes
but still i cant stop these tears
falling from my eyes
and so i weep for me and for you
and for the deception
you put me through
afterwards ill be stronger
i already know
but first its time
for me to let go.
i gave you my trust my love
i gave you me
but now i know
and its deception i see.
