Rekindle the Echoes

by Natasha Lau   Jul 24, 2006

I lie,
caressed by flames of love

engulf me,
so I can hear again,

the deafening roar of an incandescent flame,

silenced only by the rise and fall,
of a steady, heaving chest

warmed by love, and yet,
burnt,

charred as white hot fires, grapple
against billowing sadness..

can you hear the echoes,

when I cry out for you.
