We Find the Plaintiff..."Lonely".

by Not Bulletproof   Jul 28, 2006

And your Honor,
after today, I hereby claim several changes in my life.

"Go on with those changes, Miss Gammon."

Well your honor,
after today, I will no longer be able to eat Reese Puffs the same.
After today, I will no longer be able to sleep near someone.
I will no longer be able to dream happily of anything or anyone.

"Hold on a minute, why are you making these changes, Miss Gammon?"

Well your Honor, if you must ask...
I shared my Reese Puffs with -him-.
I slept curled up with him so many nights.
I dreamed of him and what he made me feel within.

And your Honor,
after today I will no longer be able to enter many restaurants and stores,
for he was there with me, once or countless times before.

"Foolish, Miss Gammon."

I know, your Honor, but I loved him so much,
and he could never feel the same way, and such...
He was my life, you understand that, right?

-Judge sighs-.
"Go on, Miss Gammon."

After today, I will no longer use the phone.
(For all the times I had a conversation ALONE.)
I will have to change my name,
because now it brings me pain.

"How much more is there, Miss..."
-Judge looks around-.
"How much more is there?"

Sorry, your Honor...
the list goes on for a while...
you see, he was all that made me smile.
He made me the me you see.
Right down to my style.
There's a lot of changes to be made,
to make the good times fade.

"I don't have all day,
I just suggest you finish what you must say...
quickly."

I wish he just loved me too.
-Plaintiff's head bows, as tears fall from her eyes-.

-Judge stands, and walks away-.
