The words

by Alex   Aug 2, 2006

The words are as tangible as the smile she wears.
Through her glazed over gaze, you can tell she cares.

The look lasts forever
though a second it all it took,
to finally catch your eye...
it was your world she shook.

Weak-Kneed and all you approach her with a hesitant hand.
Her fingers enlace yours, for miles you ran;
never looking back,
for the inevitable fear of what you both lack.

Both perfect in each others eyes,
no need for explanation
of your love and adoration.

A peck on her lips as you catch your breath,
all you did was take two steps
and in your arms she must rest.

Safe as is seems,
reality knowing no means...
You whisper your love into a soft listening ear,
lifting her face, she replies with a look so tender
and a glistening tear.
