Who can explain my simple wish to know
The undeniable reason why you capture my heart so
Is it merely the thought of you drifting gently through my mind
Can I find it in your eyes, so gentle and kind
Can it be explained by the things we have in common or the laughs that bring a tear
Or by the sound of your voice expressing that which I truly long to hear
Maybe it's that kiss which sparks the fire in my soul
Blazing intensely, when our bodies come together, deliciously out of control
Now that I've posed the ideas that have come before
The time has come for me, the answer to explore
The reason, I believe, has something to do
With God's plan for me to discover the love that I feel for you
