I'll wait for you in dreams...

by Juliette Brandt   Aug 5, 2006

You broke my heart by holding my hand.

Promising me things love couldn't withstand.

But you still love me, I swear, swear you do.

Just think of it now, it'll just be me and you.

So do this for me, play pretend with me now.

I'll do my best acting, take my final bow.

The choice is now yours, I only pray that you'll say.

"We're made for each other, just wait for our day."

I'll wait for you in dreams, blissful subconscious slumber.

Imagining your kiss in the rain and the thunder.

But I know I'm only holding onto fragile dreams.

You're just slowly ripping my life apart at the seams.

But please, oh please, I only asked for pretend.

Just false illusions of love are all you need send.

I'll live in ignorance, pretend I can't see.

That inner part of you, that's just dying to be free.

I've changed my mind, don't look me in the eyes.

I'll drown myself in emotional ties.

I love you just seems too hard to say.

But it's what I miss most with each passing day.

I'm so caught up you're the blood in my veins.

So I'll bleed you out and watch as it stains.
