My Lover My Friend

by Sylent1   Aug 6, 2006

Forgive me my lover.
I have deceived you my friend.
I allowed you to believe what is-is not.
I used words like sincere and always instead of eternally and with love.
Forgive me my friend.
I have deceived you my lover.
I hid my emotions when inside of me desire was ablaze.
I portrayed piety when in reality you are the first thought in my hidden ecstasy.
Forgive me my lover.
I have deceived you my friend.
I wished your kiss in my mouth and not upon my cheek.
I hid between meanings though I longed to expose my true heart.
Forgive me my friend.
I have deceived you my lover.
I kept things superficial when I desired to truly know you more.
I have claimed virtuous strength when inside I am a being of carnal, lustful weakness.
Forgive me my lover.
I have deceived you my friend.
I have led you silently into my grasp and refused to embrace you on to my quick.
Forgive me my lover; know you are also my friend.
