Happy Ending...

You were everything that I wanted,
everything I thought I needed,
I cherished everything you said
and that's what I now dread.

I thought I knew you,
but I guess what I know-
none of it is true,
especially the things that don't show.

Now you're always on my mind,
still wishing I could rewind,
go back to when it was just me and you-
if only you knew
everything I have been going through...

But you obviously don't care,
anymore, or about the things we used to share.
You broke my heart, but it's okay,
I guess I didn't matter to you anyways...

You said you love me
and forever will we be,
"I will love you always and forever."
I thought you would never
break my heart, at least not for awhile...

But all this time you were pretending
So much for my happy ending...
