Silence

by the-last-one   Aug 9, 2006

-just looking for some feedback on this one. thanks

She had to try on what really didn't fit
before she found out that's where she didn't belong
and He was waiting for her to come back down
to hold his hand
and be who she was meant to be
look in his eyes
remember who she used to be
Sunsets were always best
from the parking lot
as they sat on the hood of her car
silence lasted forever
but faith and love were never to far
She sat there crying
looking in his tear filled eyes
who they could be is gone
a dream lost somewhere in the sky
couldn't find the words to say
but the silence said enough goodbyes
writing letters
promising each day would be better
yeah life went on
but nothing was ever the same
since he was gone
time over comes
and they lost touch
She often thinks about those days
was he alright?
does he remember
did she fall in love that night?
He thinks of her
and her green eyes
is he still in love to this very night?
He jumped in his car
drove real fast
back to the small town
that held his past
pulled into that old parking lot
looked all around
and then his heart was caught
She was sitting on the hood of her car
not a word spoken
as he held her hand
they found where they belonged
getting there was rough
but in the silence
I love you said enough.
