A betrayal most foul...

by broken reflection   Aug 10, 2006

I walked several streets,
Until I lost all balance in my feet,
I fel hard to the ground,
I tried to turn around...

Then I saw a knife dug into my back,

And my friend, yes this was a literal betrayal.
A friend most disloyal,
She stepped on my neck and enjoyed the sound that echoed around her,
This I thought would never occur!

I had angered her a few times,
Made a few cruddy rhymes,
I only thought that she would forgive and forget,
My words about her I now regret.

She soaks up my blood with a Kleenex,
Her thoughts I never thought would be this complex,
She places the tissues in her bag,
And removes the knife
Pulls out a fag,
And removes a tin, full with gasoline,
Drenches my body,
And sets it alight, with a most foul some grin!
I only thought my life would begin!
She squashes her smoke into the ground and drops the lighter on my alcohol covered skin,
Now only fragments of my body remain.
She has committed a most foul sin,
Against me nonetheless,
The girl who always complimented the way she'd dress.
It just goes to show,
You don't really no your friends,
Until you go!
