Grateful

I dont think you know how grateful,
I am to have loved you.
To have such an amazing person,
touch my life the way you do.
And even though your not here,
you still live within my heart.
And now I wanna thank you,
for loving me from the start.
I made some mistakes im not proud of,
and though I did you wrong.
You never once gave up on me,
You loved me all along.
You'll always set the standard,
For the person I'd like to be.
I'm sorry I didnt see before,
how good you were to me.
You'll never know the pain I feel,
for having let you go,
now she's the one who has you,
