My Child

My dear child, I want to hold you in my arms.
If I can I wish I could be right beside you,
Tell you that everything is going to be okay.

My lonely child, don't be frightened.
Although I'm not right where you are,
Please know that we'll be always close at heart.

My brave child, remember that I am always on your side.
I will never turn away from you,
And when you pray, I will be listening to you.

But my loving child, just remember one thing.
That I love you deep from my heart and soul,
And I will keep loving you when I look after you in Heaven.
