Yesterday, I thought I was making progress
In this never ending cycle, full of stress
The cycle of lust we all go through
It's worth it, if I end up with you
Maybe you didn't feel the same way
But yesterday, yesterday isn't today

I'm guessing these feelings I'm feeling
Are the one way kind
You know, you do the talking, and me the hearing
My heart's caught in your bind
Just thinking of life a little differently
With you by my side
I'm gonna try to say this gently
Probably because... Never mind...

Today was suppoed to be that day
I was gonna say, but it didn't go my way
When my heart takes over my words
Didn't end up that way, I'm such a coward
Some guys are easy expressing themselves
I guess I'm on a different shelf
Oh well, I hope you have a good day
But you can't leave, I have something to say

Tommorow might be too late
To get even one date
I'm going to take control of my life
And take a chance, we'll go out at five
But' i'll probably choke
Cause I'm such a fu__ng joke
But I'll do my best to put my fears aside
And just ask "will you be mine"

But that's not such an easy question
To ask someone, 'will you be mine?'
I guess I should listen to that suggestion
Of being myself, and to never hide
So tommorow, I'll say what I've been trying to say
No more putting it off, just take a few
Minutes of your day, and hear what I have to say
Probably because... I love you.
