Secret lover

by ThePerfectDisaster   Aug 17, 2006

Glancing in his direction,
She can't take her eyes off his smile.
This is love from a distance,
She's loved him for a while.
If only he knew how she felt,
It would make the tears worthwhile.

Just the thought of holding him one day,
Keeps her hopes up high.
But can she still hold onto hope,
When she knows she's living a lie.
Can she still believe in love,
When all she ever does is cry.

She finally pulls her eyes from his smile,
And looks down at the ground.
Tears fall down her cheeks,
All voices turn to muffled sound.
She loves him unconditionally,
All she ever wants is him to be around.

She wonders if he feels this to,
The love beating rapidly in her heart.
Love songs bring tears to her eyes,
Wondering while they have to be apart.
He just ignores her as he walks past,
As a break forms in her heart.
