Letting Go

The only option I have, is to let you go
but how can I let go of someone, that means so much to me
We all need a reason to be happy, and for that short time, it was you who put a smile on my face everyday
When you told me that it was over forever, my heart shattered like glass thrown on the floor
Nothing I do or say seems to matter to you
How can you just stop caring, let go of everything and bail
You're hating me for the wrong reasons
I rather have you hate me for who i am, and not what you hear about me
I know you still care, and you don't want to go
but something is making you, and it isn't me
Sure it hurts you, but it's killing me
Am I a bad person? Did I treat you wrong?
I'm not ok, and I can't promise I will ever be
but I'll keep pretending, keep holding on
and keep thinking of the love we could of had
