Never in my life
Had I dreamt this day would come
I would spend my whole life searching
For this magical, mystical "one"
The one who stops my crying
Who always puts a smile on my face
And when the entire world is against me
All I need is his warm embrace
Although the miles separate us
He is still so very close at heart
A feeling of warm self-confidence
That he is the one to fulfill this part
Missing him even more
Every passing day he is gone
Yet loving the way I can't live without him
Proves even more that he could be this "one"
Upon hearing his voice
While he's so far away
Enlightens my soul
And forever brightens my day
For as we are not together
I question if it will last
Or will this "us" become just a memory
That has faded and long-since past
Hearing the sweet phrase "I love you"
Escape his loving lips
Helps me to hold on strong
And await his tender kiss
These feelings locked inside
Are those which none could ever replace
And knowing that these emotions are true
Has forever filled me with this hopeful grace
