Remember the Day (Memorial Day Tribute)

by Nicole Ling   Aug 20, 2006

A day in the life of a memory. As we as a nation remember to honor those who have sacrificed themselves on the altar of war, we cannot be be in aw and thankfulness of their courage that we may be free,

In any nation I would hope those who are loyal to the true and good would have the same sentiments. For the cause of life, liberty, and peace remains not only a national theme but also a worldwide theme, I hope. Any person, faith, organization, or nation who honors life more than death and only fights for the same reason is a honorable one. We as humans in this large family on earth and in heaven shall indeed pray for peace. If not now, surely in the future.

Prayer for that peace, I believe, echos near and far. It travels the world even in the worst of times. If we as a nation are called on to "fight the good fight" we shall answer with a unanimous voice. We are ready. But let's also be ready for peace eternal.

I shall remember those who have given their all, their everything that the rest of us can remain free. I also pray for forgiveness and peace fast to us all. Enjoy each day, enjoy each other, and remember all on Memorial Day.
