Abusing My Hue

Abusing My Hue

I thought you said you'd leave
I thought you said you'd disappear
I recall you saying you'd return

Running Still

With that you say I cannot believe
The doubtful letters and conjunctions you put
Together, our hands attach the link
Missing from my brain, lungs, nerves

Running Still

That's alright
I must confess

It's now impossible to unlock this
Mystery, to which you have me rattled in
To the rose bush you yell
At me you swing
The chain around my neck
That rushes
Away from my heart. Boy
You have shook
Me, I have not forgiven you
Have brought me to kill
This feeling

Running Still

That's alright
I must confess

You smack my face hard
with love; despair, lies
Me I say I'm done
Out gone.

Running Still

That's alright,
I must confess

But this clutch is stuck
In reverse, and I can pull back
Toward the good.
Instead I twirl on my feet
Over my head
Heals, toes
Closer and closer I step forward
To
You.

That's alright
I confess.
I confess. I need help
Because I recall you saying you'd return.
