One True Love

What is Love?

Before there was you,
I did not know,

I had many a time thought I had found Love,
But it was always the same heartache and despair,

I gave myself freely to those I thought Loved me,
And in return received pain,

I looked high and low,
Trying to find that special someone,

But it seemed that the harder I looked,
The worse it got,

When I finally gave up on Love,
I thought maybe I was meant to be alone,

But God had another plan for me,
His plan was a one true love,

He sent me an angel,
From up above,

A wonderful, loving, caring and giving man,
The one who would show me what the true meaning of love is,

He put this man in my life to teach me how to love again,
To love me unconditionally, flaws and all,

This one true Love,
Is you.
