My Smile

by David   Aug 22, 2006

As I lie in my bed, forsaking my sight
The thought of you enters my mind, my lips pull, I smile, so bright

I think of the day we met,
Your eyes, your hair that made u fret

Some people may hate you, m not one
To me, you are perfect, and cool and fun
Flawless, beloved, little one
To me you are the bright shining Sun
In a world, I find to be increasingly dun*

I hope to see you soon,
Before your image smudges in my mind
And before I find
The sound of your voice is gone

I think of how cute you look,
Sitting there, drawing in your little book
My smile broadens, I laugh.

Your fragrance hung around you like a dream,
I think of how strange, I, to you must seem

I slowly drift back into my thoughts in streams
I sleep deeply; you dwell through my dreams

I wake, smile, think of you
I have to see you; my doubt is none
Flawless, beloved, little one.

*dun is an ugly grey colour
