That Boy, This Girl

by dandy   Aug 24, 2006

That boy you see out on the street
isn't just another male.
He has a heart that listens,
his love isn't for sale.

This girl who's standing next to him,
is something special in his mind.
They walk contentedly side by side,
with their hands intertwined.

That boy talks to her every night,
on the computer or by phone.
Though often separated by the miles,
neither one feels completely alone.

This girl who that boy calls his
fell for him from the start.
The bond created holds them together,
even when they're forced to part.

But when they meet that boy envelopes
his girl in a lingering hug.
Their joyful eyes look into each other's
and the sweet kiss acts like a drug.

That boy hears out her opinions
even if he disagrees.
That boy doesn't think his girl is hot,
beauty is what he sees.

That boy is wonderful to her,
and never makes her cry.
This girl who belongs to that boy is me,
and "that boy" is my guy.

-I love you so much Steve...Can't wait to be in your arms again

    Beautiful.

Sounds like the two of you are in love. The poem makes me feel down about myself, but happy for everyone lucky enough to have someone write this kind of work for them.
