When I'm Home.

by Not Bulletproof   Aug 26, 2006

"And then I find you here.
Through your eyes,
every thing's clear;
and I'm home inside your arms."

I dozed off during the movie last night,
curled up close to him, being held tight.
His heart beat pounding loud and clear,
it was like a melody sounding in my ear.
I woke up to a kiss,
and I thought,
wow, there's nothing better than this.

I know I'm home when this happens.

I went to bed with him around four,
just like we did the night before.
He's always warm when I'm cold,
and he's always nice to have and hold.
He keeps me warm while I sleep,
and from another perspective,
I bet it looks pretty sweet.
He always holds me close.

I know I'm home when this happens.

I woke up this morning at ten,
to realize I stole the blankets from him again...
for the fourth time.
I don't like to be mean to my angel,
but I watched him shiver for awhile,
before I threw the blanket over him,
and then I watched him smile.

I know I'm home when this happens.

I was in the kitchen around supper time,
okay, it was more like around nine,
but I was looking for something to eat,
when my angel came and swept me off my feet.
He carried me to the living room and sat me down,
whispered in my ear,
and tickled me to the ground.
We cuddled until late;
I never did get around to eating.

I know I'm home when this happens.

I was trembling in anger one day,
ready to throw everything away.
He just let my anger flow through the air,
though I knew it wasn't fair.
I screamed and yelled until I started to cry,
then he held me and wiped my eyes.
And he forgave me when I apologized.

I know I'm home when this happens.

I'm always home when I'm with him.
