Happy Birthday, Kasey.

Happy birthday to the fairy queen,
(the girl of my dreams.)
I wish I had something to give you,
but I'm afraid I'm to poor to...
will you accept this?

I'm not sure where we stand;
border line of nothing and that-one-girl-I-know,
I suppose.
But just so you know, I'd hold your hand,
if to danger, you were ever exposed.
I'd hold you if you needed to cry,
(and never let you go.)

Today was your birthday,
and you've turned sixteen.
I missed my chance to see the birthday queen,
but I'll see you at school anyway.

I've spent this entire day wishing you happiness;
reciting lines in my head; trying to find a way to tell you this:
you're the best damn girl I'll ever meet,
so I hope your birthday was good and sweet,
and...I just want you to know that I'll always care,
and if you ever do need me, then I'll be there.

Happy birthday, Kasey,
a little something for you, from pathetic me.
