The note said

We were childhood friends
from the start,
But i never knew
what you kept at heart.

It was that one day
When we had a fight,
I walked away
And you held you fist tight.

You wanted to tell me something,
I knew it so well.
I waited for you to say it but,
You didn`t have the guts to tell.

I continued to walk,
And you stood there on the road,
As a truck ran you over,
carrying a heavy load.

I ran to wards your body
you were soaking in red
I called the ambulance right away
They said that you were already dead.

I cried and cried and said it cant be
We reached the hospital and they stared at me.

I begged the doctor to save you,
He said there is nothing much i can do.

I should have never walked away on what you were going to say,
It wasn`t like that,
it wasn`t supposed to end this way.

I sat outside unable to move,
shocked with what had took place.
The doc handed me a letter,
my heart began to race.

I took the letter and read it,
And a tear rolled down my eye.
It said i love you,
I prayed to god it was a lie.

You left me filled with guilt,
You left me way too soon.
Maybe if you had told me before,
I would`ve told you i loved you too.
