You're Not Here

by xღxBeckyxღx   Sep 1, 2006

Being with you around your friends,
You seem to be somebody else,
Its almost like you're not here,
As if you're putting on some kind of act.
You try to act like the nice guy around them with me,
Acting like we're a couple,
When, really, we're not.
Seeing you up the city with your friend,
You have never offered to spend that sort of time with me.
As I watch you walk off with your friend,
You're not here with me,
And I begin to wish that I could trade places with your friend,
Just to spend some time with you,
Doing something new.
I've taken so many risks for you,
Defended you when people have had their doubts,
But now I can't keep up this fight,
When you're not proving my doubts wrong.
You're not here when I really need somebody,
When I really need you.
If you're not here now,
Will you ever be?
