Everyday

The swishing water swirls
Making pretty curls

Here along the shore we sit watching the sun disappear
Now that darkness begins its reign you start to fear

You cling to me and shiver
I try to calm you still you quiver

I take you too the car, hang my coat around your shoulders
I start to take you home; you start to cry, your tears like boulders

I am defeated by your sadness
I turn to you, lift a lock of curly brown hair covering your eye

The glint in your eye is gone,
Emotionless you stare back at me
What could have caused your happiness to flee?

I stop the car, and hold you tight,
I tell you everything will be all right.

Dont ever leave me you whisper
I never will, Im with you
