Wow!!! I love this poem too!!! I know how it is to have an alcholic parent...my father was an alcholic. Actually my mom was as well. My mom never hurt me, but I still hated it. She's not doing it now. My father would hurt me..and my mom. He stopped as well...although, he died 3 months ago. Anyways, I know that feeling and it hurts so very much. You did a wonderful job at expressing that sadness and pain! Wonderful poem!
