Laying in the dark
talking to my heart
I look at this mountain
so many heartaches wide
I can't help but wonder
what's at the other side
I have to be honest
I have many doubts
my tears are asking me
is this really love
I'm torn I confess
my heart seems so certain
yet I try to second guess
to pass through this
long dark night
and reach a peacful shore
the river keeps rising
another test of faith
to walk on water

yet I am a little closer
to heaven
