It Is I

by *intoxicated*heart*   Sep 10, 2006

It left the town early
after you hurt it
it blistered on the inside
and you made it cry

it walked down to the waterfront
through the deep forest of trees
finding your house
and muttering its soliloquies

down by the lake
it breathes out the cold
and the warmth leaves
the lake stealth black and old

the sea creatures freeze and die
and it curses you
only to feel
utter regret and evil revenge on you

the sleek black hair
and the deep blue eyes
are cold and hurting
crying tears of their own it sighs

fear fills the creatures bodies
as it wades to the lake
and screams under the water
the devil is awake

now enter into hell
and fear the world
for if you arent following god
to hell youll be hurled

it comes slowly out
dripping in crimson red
the lake is pure black
as is its head

it breathes out slowly
and the trees start to sway
creaking of the branches
turn the stars away

the pitch black sky
is full of waves
its as though its alive
where is the God who saves

the tree leaves turn black
and the bodies all leave
as the town becomes winter
it freakishly screams

warning the world
is what it seems
that the rapture is coming
and is ending there dreams

people are panic stricken
as out of the water
arrives a beast so wicked
that no chill could be hotter

people run in terror
and it enters the land
as the world shakes harder

the people all wish
they had followed god
but its to late
its their end they sewed

the black haired creature
soars through the town
screaming loudly and horrificly
as its heart frowns

its face is of the devil
so white and full of hate
its the one that you saw
on your very first date

it is i
