Your Lullabye

by Brooke Mason   Sep 12, 2006

These memories
Yours, and mine
Send soft winds through
the vast catacombs of
my mind

I hear you in a whisper
but you can't even hear
me screaming your name
i call to you but i receive
no reply

listen to me sing your lullabye
my love
listen to your Song Bird sing
hear her voice and become
captivated once again
by the melodies she plays

dance the dance of darkfire
and sing the song of night
join me as i sing to you
my love
hear me as i sing

a cold chill runs up my spine
as these notes leave me
and travel into the chill of
winter's air
and first snowfall

December came and went
as did your lullabye
Happy New Years
my love
a new song has begun

I like this one cause I would have never thought of something like this. And I like poets that bring something new to the table. Nice job!
