Saying "Goodbye"

At times I have no one
but you're always there for me
And when I am lost
its you who helps me to see

There have been countless days
when we email at length
Without you I feel so weak
as I draw on your strength

You're the only one
who helped me through depression
So how do you think it feels -
the constant rejection

I believe I am worthless
most of the time
For the one I most seek
will never be mine

I was often confused
by the plans that you'd make
All the stuff that you said
was it totally fake?

At least I know
I've given my best

I gave you all my heart & soul
cos I love you, and you alone
Whatever, it makes no odds

The one thing I've learned
through all of this pain
Is that there is no one for me
its not going to send me insane

How comes we've said goodbye
so many times before
But for some strange reason
we keep coming back for more?

Its not what I'd wish
but somehow I'd get by
If thats what you want
then leave me to cry
