The Otter

by Whisper   Sep 16, 2006

**This is a poem I had to write for school. My Native American animal is the Otter...It's what I relate to the most. So yes, it is quite strange, but tell me what you think!**

With trust for the waterways
Otter floats around
An animal free from others
Her legs and arms unbound

A sense for nature
An inquisitive mind
A loyal little creature
So sweet and kind

Otter is so bright
In many different ways
She shines with so much joy
It's as if she stole the the sun's rays

Being loyal to her friends
She loves them all the same
Otter is so happy
That in her life they came

She'll keep on asking questions
She wants to learn so much
She'll keep on loving people
And with them share her touch

**This poem, like I said is for school. We had to use our chosen animal and I chose to use it in a poem. The directions for this was to use our animal and use it's characteristics in, for me, a poem. Thanks for reading!**
