The hardest thing to say

by Brook   Sep 17, 2006

When I see you at night
Alone while you sleep
I close my eyes so tight
And slowly start to weep

The day I started packing
But not a word was said
My heart was sad and cracking
And now it is left for dead

The words I said were for real
The day I walked out that door
But the way my heart feels
Is what I keep in a drawer

To think of the times good or bad
With memories we'll never forget
Those that were fun and those that were sad
Both of which will never be thought with regret

Some times the hardest thing to say
When your heart has started to fall
And you have to leave it along the way
The hardest thing to say is nothing at all
