Across the sea

by Raye   Sep 18, 2006

I\'m colorblind when the sun shines,
Two of us lost in an unchanging sea,
But what can we do?
If I stepped on to the water and walked towards you,
What will you do?
Please meet me half way.

Under the blanket of the night,
Where my only light is the moon, guiding my way,
I\'ll sing to you.
Across this distant sea, knowing my heart belongs to you.
No one will see my words of admire on this love sick paper,
Or hear my thoughts lay away in my head,
You could be my one song.

These crazy words that I write, I know you\'ll never see them.
Because you are the ocean and I am the moon,
Together forever but far apart.
Please kiss thes lips of mine and whip away my tears.
Let me in your embrace and stay with this fool heart of mine.
Say that you love me too.

Tell me that I\'ll be flying with you again,
Stop me in my tracks again,
Lock your eyes on me again.

And if it rains on the day we meet again,
Then I\'ll be your shelter to keep you dry.
You are the only man who can play this song to my heart,
String me like a harp and I\'ll play for you.

Rest with me on the shore while two ships pass by on the sea,
Underneath the dense moon in the oblivious sky.
Stroke my hair while I sleep in your arms,
Never letting go of this moment.

This is my foolish dream, my hearts\' cry out.
Even if it\'s all my pretend, my soul and being sings in glory because you are my comfort.
You make me sane in a world of insanity.
I stand here an ocean from you and you dont even know.
I\'m not so far from you in reality.
I\'m streaching out my hand across the sea,
What will God do next?
Are you on the other side, reaching out for me too?
