Once upon a time there lived a young boy in a little hut. He was filled with joy, love & affection in his heart, however was lonely & had no one to share his affection with.
One day while he was working in the fields for his living, he saw a cow. This cow appeared very different from the otherâ??s which caught his attention.
He went close to the cow & greeted the cow with a smile. The cow seemed to be very delighted & came closer to the boy. In no time the two got to know each other. Days passed by & the boy thought that the cow became a very close friend.
One fine day the boy collected some fresh rich grass & presented to the cow. The cow was a little amazed & did not know how to react. It gave the boy a calm look & went away. The boy was a little upset with the way the cow reacted. He thought for himself â??perhaps it was a little shy.â??
Many attempts were made by the boy to feed the cow as he wanted to express his love & that he cared. But he failed. And not knowing the reason behind the rejection.
The boy was lonely once again. This time he lost his joy & grew sad longing for the cow to return to him. But there was no sign.
In the mean while, many other cows noticed that the boy was always carrying fresh grass. Not knowing for whom, tried to take it away from him. The boy did his best to save this for the cow he loved, but in vein, they tried to snatch it away from him.
Few months later the cow came back to the boy. He was so delighted & filled with joy once again. They had a nice time together & it looked they had always been together since they had met. The boy thought that this time the cow will surely accept the grass.
So the next day he again brought lovely fresh grass for the cow. Seeing this, the cow turned away once again. The boy was even more upset with this.
This went on for years. Every time the boy wanted to feed the cow that he loved, never accepted & the rest would just love to snatch it from him. The more he tried to protect the more he was surrounded by stray animals.
The boy grew very lonely once again & was very confused as to why this cow did not want to eat from his hand. Why would it just ignore him & be like a stranger when actually they are so close.
One day it so happened that the boy came across this cow again.
The cow come closer to the boy & sniffed the grass & shyly went away.
He still wonders whether the cow will ever come back to him for ever. If yes, the question lies â??when?â?? If not, than â??why not?â??
