I'm sorry it seemed more like a narrative with thoughts not connecting to each other. It had some good imagery but you told it instead of showed it.

I gaze out the window,
Looking across the lands,
Wishing you were here with me,
To take my hand.

Maybe you could have provided imagery without dirctly telling you were wishing the person would take your hand? How would you feel? What does empitness feel like standing there? Maybe you grasp empty air? Maybe your imagination is strong and you can feel a touch?
