Bitter Love Lore

by Brooke Mason   Sep 23, 2006

I sit here swallowed in memories
Darkness crawling around me
Thinking of things that used to be
Because you're no longer with me

My heart, it burns with the thought of you
I'd always hope'd you'd think of me too
You never did, and now we're through
And why, I haven't a real clue

You've vanished from life all together
In my world, dreary rain is the weather
I feel like a peasant who's been tarred and feathered
Because from my body my heart is severed

Why did you have to go, my love?
Why wasn't I good enough?
What made you leave me for above
Why aren't you here, my love?

You told me that I was the only one
You told me that you would come
But now it seems your life is done
And now it's like i have no one

Look what you've done, spilled blood on the floor
Can't you hear it, Death at the door
You won't breath again, nevermore
This is the end, of my bitter love lore
