Running and Fighting

by Levi   Sep 23, 2006

Out of the dark and into the light,
My goals and the things I pursue insight.
Sprinting as fast as my feet will allow,
The monsters that follow; scream and howl.
Looking back to see the darkness growing,
The evils true form will soon be showing.

The ground beneath my feet begins to move,
I can't give in cause I've got something to prove.
The monsters scream haunting crys,
Their lust for blood in their menacing eyes.

No longer can I run from the night,
So I turn to my enemy's ready to fight.
They lunge at me their fangs and weapons drawn,
I just hope that I can stand and last till dawn.

Gracefully caressing the handle of my blade,
I move with passion and watch them fade.
The sun is beginning to rise and they still fall,
Soon there will be none left at all.

The last one stands wounded and alone,
I lunge; my blade cuts through and he is gone.
I turn and continue on my quest,
the darkness still follows and I cannot rest.

Nice job. A battle between good and evil, I love it. I like stuff about swords and demons too.
