Clouds of the Forbidden and Loved

Couldn't admit to myself
Feelings that were true
Real.
Afraid to put
My heart on the line
Afraid to hear my soul
Aloud.
Scared to experience
The hurt once more
Frightened to show you myself
The real me.
Unsure what was next
Jumping in
Could be a sea of possibilities
Or a slow, painful suicide.
Forbidding cloud loomed overhead
Many months passed by
Soon the sun came out
All my tears beginning to dry.
You spoke the words
I longed to hear
Finding truth
The wind whipped
Swept me off my feet.
Now I live in the clouds
Overtop those forbidding ones
That visited me
So many months ago
Realizing they shouldn't have been there
