Brave, Proud, and Free

I always wonder how it would be
To be one of the brave, proud, free.
To save some lives
And fight for what is right
Stay up at night
And write my family and friends
Tell them how its going
Tell them how I've been
Ask how everyone is
And prey they've never been hurt

I'm not very good at fighting
And helping is just a dream
Hopefully I can be there
Brave and standing tall
Not afraid to be there
And fighting for what is right
And not just be standing by
