I think one day we might hold hands and mean it;
where there's no joke about it because we're "just friends",
where we honestly see there never being an end.
The classrooms will always treat us like shit,
just because we're bi, it means that we're bizarre,
and seriously, I think everyone's just jealous of you, by far.

I could never quite lay my eyes off of you,
to tell you the truth.

I've always seen something in your eyes,
that I wanted no one else to see.
I've been selfish in saying I want you with me,
since my love life is basically occupied.

Maybe he's what drove you away,
but I still hope to have you one day.

You used to wave at me when you walked by,
but now I never see your eyes.
Maybe I never really stood a chance,
but I know I once deserved a glance.
Maybe you ruled me out of your books,
but I'll still give you all of my looks,
in hopes that one day, not giving up was all it took.

This year we may not talk, may seem so far apart,
but I will never be able to get you out of my heart.
