Burning Desire (villanelle)

by Hear You Me   Sep 29, 2006

Just like a flame burning deep into night,
Or like the sun, which burns for the day,
These crimson words were designed for the plight,

My flame will know when i am nearing a fight,
It is prepared to explode only when i say,
It is my flame burning deep into night,

Although initially my blaze might fright,
Be prepared, because come what may,
These crimson words were designed for the plight,

My love for you, it just seems so right,
In a year, tomorrow and also today,
It is my flame burning deep into night,

Pitiful and yearning, lonely by sight,
But this love upon you is laid,
As these crimson words were designed for the plight,

Never at all will i waver in slight,
My loving for you is strong, like light from the day
Just like a flame burning deep into night,
These crimson words were designed for the plight.

(My first ever Villanelle poem, inpired by another poem :D)
