Modern Day Jesus

by V a n i t y V e i n 6 9   Sep 30, 2006

I walk down a road of concrete,
On my shoulders, a cross Made of steel.
I watch and hear the other laugh,
As I Bleed with no hope to heal.
I wear upon my head,
A crown of barbed wire for your sins
Smoke covers the air
As my crucifixion begins
I'm impaled to my cross,
Then lifted with a crane
"My lord! Why have you forsaken me!"
I said to Him in vain.
